Supported Living Services (SLS)

Our purpose is to assist participants, we support to find a safe and comfortable living environment while teaching them to become as independent as possible.
All participants will have the opportunity to live where they wish (within their financial means), the right to determine with whom they live, and the right to choose the support staff that will be working with them in their homes.

Supported living is quite a simple idea!

A person with a developmental disability gets the support they need to live in their own home. If the person’s needs change, the support they get can also be changed. The most important thing is that the support matches the person’s needs. This means the supports are designed for the person, they fit the person, the person does not have to fit the supports. This helps the person to live in their community successfully.

How supported living works can be described like this:

Supported living is an approach to housing and support for participants with developmental disabilities based on the fundamental belief that every person has a right to lead their own life, to determine where, how, with whom they live and who provides them with support.

Circle of Support assists and encourages the participants to develop and implement the lifestyle that makes them happy, reflects desired goals, and promotes an exceptional quality of life.

Supported is about developmentally disabled individuals:

Living in their own home

Making choices about their own life

Getting support to live the way they want to live

*It does not matter what disability the person has or how much support they need.
