Independent Living Services (ILS)

What is Independent Living Services?

Independent Living Services are designed to help individuals learn daily living skills through 1-on-1 coaching tailored to each participant’s abilities, current skills, and future goals. ILS programs provide services to adults with developmental disabilities, offering the functional skills training necessary to secure a self-sustaining lifestyle within the community and the support needed to maintain those skills.
ILS provides daily living skills training and support. The purpose of ILS training focuses on an individual living the most self-managed life possible in the least restrictive environment. The number of training hours and the areas of training are determined based on an individual’s assessed need and personal choice.
